BED AND CRAFT TAË
Our inn is a renovation of the wealthy, silk farming Fujisawa familyʼs mansion. Our name TAË (using the characters for numerous and heavy) comes from the process used here of interweaving silk threads, paper pulp, and lacquer. We also have the pieces traditional Japanese weaver Tanaka Sanae made for TAË on display.
Those who want to participate in the woodcarving workshop need to contact us 10 days before their reservation day. This costs a separate fee of 10,000 yen per person (for 2 or more people).
