A three-day, two-night tour to experience Gokayama's traditional culture, local cuisine, and hot springs. Cycle through the forest roads of Gokayama and stay at a guest house in the World Heritage Site of Ainokura Gassho-Zukuri Village. Enjoy folk songs in a room with a sunken hearth.Discover the hidden charms of Gokayama by cycling on paths that cannot be reached by public transportation.

This e-bike tour is a great way to experience the culture of Gokayama as you ride through the forest course. On the way, you can see the warehouses of the thatch used for the roofs of the Gassho-zukuri houses and the fields of Kozo (paper mulberry), the raw material for Japanese paper.

② Upon receiving your preferred dates, we will check availability of bicycle guides. (It may not be possible to
schedule tours for the dates you requested due to availability.)
③ Nanto City Tourism Association will send you an email to confirm your reservation after checking availability.
④ Please access the URL in the email and complete the payment procedure for the tour.
Notice
・This tour is available for those who are over 12 years old and taller than 150cm.
( Children are not allowed to participate alone, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. )
・Rental e-bikes will be used for the tour. You may not participate with your own bicycle.
・If we find it difficult for you to drive safely during practice runs, we may decline your participation.
・Wearing sunglasses is recommended on sunny days.
・You can leave your luggage at the Gokayama Tourist Information Center and change your clothes.

・If it is expected to rain, we will contact you by phone by 5:00 pm the day before.
・ All participants are requested to take measures to prevent infection by the novel coronavirus, such as wearing masks and sanitizing their hands and fingers.
【About E-bike】
E-bikes are bicycles that are capable of sports riding, with a motor that assists the pedaling force when it is needed, such as at the beginning of pedaling or on hills.
【Bike Accessories】
E-bikes and helmets are provided for the tour.
※Please bring your own cycling accessories (gloves, sunglasses, etc.).
【What to bring】
Backpack, rain jacket, bottled drinks
※Please wear clothes suitable for cycling and comfortable shoes.
※Please prepare your own items to prevent heat stroke (sunscreen, sports drink, towel, etc.).

・In case of cancellation
Please be sure to notify us by phone or e-mail during our business hours (10am – 6pm).
In the event you contact us after business hours, we will respond to you the following day.
・Cancellation on the day of the tour:
Since this tour includes lunch, if you do not contact Nanto City Tourism Association (Tel: +81(0)763-62-1201) by 9:30am on the day of the tour, 100% of the tour fee will be charged]

In the event of cancellation for the convenience of the customer, a cancellation fee will be charged at the following rates per customer for the tour price.
※ Even if stormy weather is expected on the day of the tour, when public transportation is available, prior cancellation will be considered as a cancellation for the convenience of the customer and a cancellation fee will be charged. However, we may decide to suspend the tour if it is deemed difficult to conduct the tour due to bad weather conditions that are expected to significantly affect public transportation. In this case, we will inform the customer of the cancellation.
※ In case of cancellation, a refund will be made after deducting the prescribed cancellation fee. Bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the customer.
