松井機業
Around roughly 450 years ago, silk weaving in Johana arose by taking advantage of the nearby silk thread production in Fukumitsu and Gokayama. Every since then, amazing Japanese sliding door paper was made thanks to shike silk, which is a miraculous silk made by just two silk worms. It is often said that here at the Matsui Workshop we are one of the only places that does everything from weaving to lining Japanese paper. We also make scarfs, special envelopes for monetary gifts, and other items that are useful for your modern life using our never resting machinery, which is another of the appeals of our workshop.
