利賀芸術公園
In 1976, the founder and chairman of the SCOT company Tadashi Suzuki moved his base of operations from Tokyo to Toga and started up a theatre business here. Thanks to his efforts, every year in the summer time we hold an arts festival here where actors from all over the world gather to put on plays, make new art, and nurture the development of aspiring artists. We have stages here renovated from gassho-style thatched roof buildings and outdoor stages as well, making a total of 6 stages. We also have an area for lessons and lodgings among other facilities that are held in high esteem globally. The area is also highly regarded for being surrounded with bountiful nature and is often called the “Acting Holy Land” by many international actors.
